Even working in the three-dimensional requires some time with the two-dimensional. Sketchbooks are always important when it comes to fleshing out ideas. So whether I'm planning a pattern or deciding on a form, go back to the sketchbook and the ideas will have a place to stop on the way from the mind to realization.
